Elite training,built forOakland.
Strength and conditioning, tactical prep, return to play, and everyday personal training. The same standard for pros, college athletes, youth, and anyone ready to put in the work.
Whether you are a beginner learning to move, an adult starting from scratch, or an athlete chasing more, the training is built around you. We meet you where you are.
Eight programs.
One standard.
Whatever brought you in, the coaching is individual and the standard does not move. Pick where you are today. We build the rest around you.
Whether you’re starting from scratch or chasing a personal goal, every block starts with a movement assessment, then a program written for where you are and where you want to be. We train strength, conditioning, and mobility in the right order so progress holds, and so you move and feel better, not just lift more, scaled to your starting point and your schedule.
- Movement assessment
- Individualized programming
- Strength, conditioning & mobility
Youth athletes start with movement proficiency above all else: coordination, body control, speed, and a love of training, built in small groups with no burnout. They get the same training principles the best athletes in the world rely on, scaled to a growing body, and a long-term plan that sets up everything that comes after.
- Movement proficiency first
- Coordination, speed & body control
- Long-term athletic plan
High school is when training steps up, but the goal stays holistic: a complete, durable athlete with the strength, speed, power, and conditioning that transfer to whatever you play. We turn the youth foundation, or wherever you’re starting, into real athleticism and the work capacity to last a season, with the standard to compete for a roster spot. Playing more than one sport, or recruiting on the horizon? We build with that in mind.
- Sport-specific strength & speed
- In-season durability
- Recruiting & college prep
A college season is not one training year, it is several. Off-season is where the real physical change happens, so that block goes after strength and power without a competition schedule fighting it. In-season the job inverts: hold what you built, manage fatigue, and keep you available for every game rather than chasing new numbers in February.
Combine and showcase prep is its own block. We work backward from the specific tests you will be measured on and rehearse them, so the day itself is familiar rather than a first attempt. Between all of it sits the unglamorous part that decides whether the plan survives contact with a real season: tracking how you are actually recovering and adjusting the week when the answer is not well.
- Calendar-based periodization
- Combine & showcase prep
- Recovery & monitoring
At this level the training is not a program you are placed into, it is one written around your calendar, your position, your injury history, and what your season is asking of your body right now. That changes month to month, so the plan changes with it.
Everything is coordinated with the people already in your corner — your team's staff, your therapist, your agent's timeline when the off-season is short. We work in, not over the top. The roster is deliberately limited so the attention stays where it belongs. Reach out and we will talk through whether it is a fit before anyone commits.
- Calendar-based periodization
- Recovery & monitoring
- Limited roster
A graded return to your sport that respects the timeline your medical team set, built hand in hand with your physical therapist and medical team. Movement screening first, then a progression back to sprinting, change of direction, and agility. We bridge rehab to full competition, within the certification scope of the team.
- Movement screening
- Graded return progression
- Sport-specific retest
We reverse-engineer the test you are walking into and rehearse it, then build the work capacity to pass it with margin. You show up to day one already familiar with the standard.
- Test-specific drills
- Work-capacity conditioning
- Grip & load carries
Training built around each stage: staying strong and active through pregnancy, then a careful, progressive rebuild postpartum that starts with breathing, core, and pelvic-floor reconnection before loading back up. We work within your doctor’s or midwife’s clearance and move at the pace your body sets, so you come back to strength feeling capable, not rushed.
- Stage-specific programming
- Core & pelvic-floor rebuild
- Provider-cleared, paced return
Not sure which one fits? Start training and we will point you to the right track.

Meet PakiGordon.
Paki Gordon built Peak Athletic Center on one idea: the work that makes a professional great is the same work that makes anyone better.
He has spent years coaching athletes across every level, from kids taking their first real reps to professionals protecting a career. The room is the same for all of them, and so is the expectation.
Today he and co-founder Donte Glover lead a team of coaches and staff who hold that same line. No shortcuts and no hype, just deliberate work and real attention, session after session.
Donte Glover.
Donte Glover co-founded Peak to make sure every athlete who walks in is known, supported, and pointed at the right work.
An engineer with Oakland Fire and a liaison for Fire Academy candidates, he connects the gym to the people training for the job — the backbone of our tactical prep.

Camille coaches performance and everyday-fitness clients, holding every athlete to the same standard.
Janissa trains clients across the gym's programs, bringing the same attention to every session.
Bryce leads group exercise and keeps the day-to-day of the gym running.
Mikaela manages fitness programming and gym operations, keeping training on track.
Mpho connects Peak to the wider community and supports member health and wellbeing.

100+athletes coached in Oakland.
The same coaching our athletes get, given to the next generation. Kids who came in shy and left moving like athletes, and keep coming back to do it again.
We train alongside Oakland youth and local ball clubs because the city that raised this gym deserves the same coaching the pros get. This is where it gives back.
